Located in Vienna’s MuseumQuartier, the glass of the Viennese 25Hours Hotels stands out among the city’s masses of white stone neoclassical facades. The hotel’s explicit modern trendiness continues on the inside with quirky circus themed interiors and fun down-to-earth staff. Its audience is just as explicit: youthful, up and coming start-ups, young families, those who are well and truly a part of the modern world. Why not borrow the hotel’s Mini for a spin around Vienna, or borrow an iPad? – both fitting touches to this hotel’s creative and new raison d’être.

25hThe view from our suite was stunning, but was even better from the hotel’s rooftop bar, which offers amazing panoramic views of the Viennese cityscape.

The newly furbished, colourful suites may not be to every traveller’s taste, nevertheless each room is adorned with eccentric bespoke furnishings which provide an insight into the world of contemporary home aesthetics. 25h1

The buffet breakfast had an expansive variety of pastries, fruits, breads, and cheeses, as well as an especially satisfactory selection of teas, all fresh and beautifully displayed at the center of the fashionably casual dining room. 25h3

Also good was the steam room and sauna in the basement – although the lack of swimming pool was a noted omission, and the fact guests have to pay extra to use these facilities was surprising.25h4

We would recommend this hotel for those looking for a reasonably priced, casually chic experience, and for those who want to experience something more modern in the midst of Vienna’s classical beauty.
