After such an amazing and patriotically-fuelled twelve months for Britain – with the Jubilee, Olympics and Paralympics – what could be a better cocktail with which to say goodbye to 2012 than the ‘St. James’s Jubilee’?

Created by Berry Bros. & Rudd, purveyors of wines and spirits to both The Queen and the Prince of Wales, it features the very British ingredients of the firm’s own No.3 London Dry gin, English sparkling wine, elderflower liqueur and fresh lemon juice – topped off with a ‘royal’ raspberry.

The cocktail is named after the location of Berrys’ 300-year old shop at No.3, St. James’s Street, London. The shop is located a few hundred yards from St. James’s Palace – once the home of King William III, the monarch who popularised the drinking of gin in Britain.
