The Tiffany Hotel is an incredibly stylish boutique hotel and arriving here immediately transformed my exhaustion from traveling into an excitement for the adventures awaiting my stay in Geneva.

Tiffany-7082An intimate entrance with a wood paneled lobby welcomes visitors to this retreat from the restless city. A touch of modernity is present in the hallways with a subtle glow from corridor lights but the most noticeable feel of the hotel is its understated chic. There’s a hum of excitement as I’m walking through the hotel, making my way to my room. The ground floor has a large and cozy living room and a great bar area that had already attracted quite an interesting mix of drinkers on an early Monday evening. The bar room also leads out onto a beautiful terrace where you can sit and languidly watch the world go by. There’s a spa and sauna area downstairs; the perfect place for you to find and enjoy those precious moments of relaxation.

The rooms are clean, simple and comfortable, with ample space for you to move around. A monochromatic interior it is both plain but also captures the essence and trademark of the Tiffany Hotel: simple, unadulterated luxury in a beautifully unostentatious manner. A small minibar is presented with complimentary teas and coffee although for the cost conscious it might be preferable to visit a nearby café.  The views aren’t the most spectacular, overlooking side streets in Geneva but notwithstanding, the optimum level of comfort is found here and provides a tempting space to while away those hours and immerse yourself in the small pleasures of life.

Whilst a stay at The Tiffany Hotel presents a smorgasbord of little luxuries, a highlight of staying here is the proximity to the opera house which frequently has incredible performances worth visiting Geneva for. Tiffany-7004The surrounding area, Cirque, also has many quirky cafés popping up along the streets and in general, it is a super area of Geneva which allows you to escape the madness of rush hour.

Breakfast at Tiffany’s is splendid. Enjoying the option of in-room dining, I feel truly spoiled. The breakfast menu is simple but more than adequate. A choice of delicious breads and jams and a most luxurious fruit salad is delivered, as well as the mandatory café au lait and I feel truly satisfied.

The Tiffany Hotel is a small hotel with a terrific ambiance. An old world charm is found in the halls and breezes through the hotel. It’s all there, the moments of happiness and the luxury, but it is presented in a subtly decadent style. For an elegant hotel with character, The Tiffany Hotel is most definitely the first port of call when staying in Geneva.
