The first thing you notice when receiving you FIVE olive oils in the incredible, sleek bottles and their design. It is not merely the design which is so stunning but the smooth texture of the bottle which prepares you for the smooth, spicy oils which will tantalise your palate.

five_olive_oilFIVE olive oil uses the Koroneiki, a unique cultivar of olive trees in Greece. The chemical composition of Greek soil (rocky and dry) combined with a temperate climate is favourable for the olive trees, enhancing the olive oil’s organoleptic characteristics. FIVE olive oils, presented in eye-catching bottles, prides itself on their organic, sustainable practices which produce the highest quality authentic olive oil.

We had a small degustation, of which our thoughts are below.

Tasting NotesFIVE-ExtraZ-01

Extra Virgin Olive Oil
A method of cold extraction is employed. A varietal blend of olive cultivars gives this bottle a mixed aroma. Acidity does not exceed 0.6% during its shelf-life.

Tasting Notes: Mild, almost sweet, golden coloured virgin olive oil, ideal for sautéing or adding to strong-flavoured foods without overpowering them.

lovely-package-five-organic-olive-oil3Ultra Premium Extra Virgin Olive Oil (white bottle)
A single-varietal olive oil (100% Koroneiki variety) produced under cold extraction. It has a maximum acidity of 0.3%.

Tasting Notes: More intense in flavour, this oil would dress ambitious salads and act as a dip for freshly baked breads. Will not overpower palate.
